The role of the Sports Association is to allow its members to practice the sport of golf in the best possible conditions.
The Sports Association organizes the sports life of the club:
- It offers entertainment and sports or fun competitions, most of which are organized for members of the Association only.
- It looks for sponsors for all the competitions that take place at La Wantzenau, organizes the calendar of events, manages the tee-offs and the results, ensures the delivery of prizes, records the results and transfers them to the FFGolf for the management of the WHS (index).
- Some AS volunteers supervise the young members of the Golf School, in addition to the Club Pros.
- It enables the different Club teams to participate in departmental, regional and national competitions, by financing registration and a part of the travel costs.
The Wantz’Seniors section hosts all the senior competitions, which traditionally take place on Thursday mornings. A Ladies section organizes meetings on Tuesday from 12 pm to 1:30 pm.
